Under the deal, THQ will oversee development of Wii and DS games based on Sony's Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune formats.
Doug Clemmer, THQ executive vice president, said that the two properties will join the firm's Kids, Family and Casual Games portfolio.
He also revealed that the resulting titles will incorporate the Wii Speak functionality to "reimagine how these games are played and engage fans with a whole new level of interactivity".
Sony Pictures Consumer Products vice president of licensing Mark Caplan added: "Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune are extraordinarily popular across the globe and it was important for us to find a partner with an international vision.
"THQ's focus and proven success within the family market made them the most logical team to bring these renowned properties to new platforms, and we look forward to working with them to create family-friendly interactive experiences."
THQ expects the first game from the Sony deal to be ready for release in late 2010.
