Company president Peter Moore confirmed to Bloomberg that the long-running football franchise, which has so far sold over 63 million units in the US alone, will be appearing on the social networking website this year.
"We have to make Madden more accessible," Moore declared. "You'll see us on Facebook going forward."
While an official announcement and release date are yet to be finalised, the move is expected to give players a "simpler experience" in comparison to the title's console counterparts.
EA bought well-known Facebook games developer Playfish last November, in a bid to further bolster its online presence.
