PSP tops Japanese hardware chart

According to statistics from Media Create, the handheld platform sold 43,163 units over the last week. The figure marked a decline from the previous week, but was still enough to keep the Nintendo Wii in second place with sales of 36,149.
The DSi LL took third spot, the PS3 fourth and the regular DSi fifth. The PSPgo propped up the rest with just 1,738 units shifted.
Namco Bandai topped the software chart in the territory with its latest PSP offering God Eater, which managed to sell 295,405 copies in its first week. Last week's number one Dragon Quest VI for DS slipped to second place following a 79% sales drop.
Other new entries in the top ten included Star Ocean: The Last Hope International for PS3 in third spot and Pop 'n Music Portable at number eight.
