SCE unaffected by Sony restructure
Published Wednesday, Feb 24 2010, 16:11 GMT | By Matthew Reynolds

From April 1, Sony will create Sony Networked Entertainment Platform - or SNEP - in Japan, which will include the PlayStation, Bravia and Vaio brands.
Early reports had suggested that it would absorb the Western branches of Sony Computer Entertainment, but it has since been confirmed that this will not be the case.
"This is a rather complicated manoeuvre involving the legal entity SCEI in Japan. It has no effect on any regional HQ. SCEA, SCEE etc are totally unaffected," a spokesperson told MCV.
The subsidiary was formed in 1993 as a publishing and research arm of games and PlayStation products.
