Nintendo exec denies Wii 2 speculation

Speaking at the Nintendo World Summit, Dunaway, Nintendo America's executive vice president of sales and marketing, said that the current incarnation of the Wii still has a lot of scope for growth.
"I don't think it will be anytime soon. Even though our installed base is, at this point, five million households larger than the PS2 installed base was at the same point in its lifecycle, [Wii] still has a lot of room to grow," Gamespot quotes her as saying.
"If you think PS2, there's been about 50 million sold. Wii [is] close to 28million sold so that says to me that there's still a big audience out there that we can access with Wii."
However, Dunaway did not dismiss the Wii 2 as a future possibility, saying: "We'll have it ready when we think the time is right."
Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has previously confirmed that a Wii 2 console is in development.
