Valve has revealed a number of new details regarding FP puzzle sequel Portal 2.

According to Game Informer, the new title will be set hundreds of years after the original, in an overgrown version of the Aperature science lab.

The sequel sees GlaDOS return as the antagonist, while players control the returning Chell.

New features include a split screen co-op mode that sees you play as bipedal robots, as well as the use of physics and reactive paints to solve puzzles.

Valve described the original game as a "test bed", while the sequel is said to be a "game".

Portal 2 is due to be released this summer. Valve also confirmed that a Mac version of the game will also be released.
