Kiss front man Gene Simmons has confirmed that Guitar Hero 6 is in development.

In an interview with ITN's GameOn, the rock star claimed that he has been hired by Activision to provide voiceover work for the game.

The studio is yet to officially announce the rhythm action sequel, but it did confirm that it is planning to launch a new Guitar Hero title for the "back half" of 2010. Activision will also release DJ Hero 2 around this time.

It is thought that the upcoming games will incorporate new motion technology, such as Microsoft's Project Natal and Sony's PlayStation Move.
