Developed by Ruffian Games, the Xbox 360 exclusive title follows up 2007's critically-acclaimed Crackdown.
The new game offers sandbox multiplayer contests, allowing players the freedom to explore and destroy the crime-ridden metropolis of Pacific City.
Ahead of the launch, Ruffian Games intends to showcase footage from the release in a three-part video documentary series titled Fun With Friends.
The films will feature creative director Billy Thomson, producer James Cope, senior engineer David Hynd and senior mission designer Dean Smith discussing the challenge of creating the game's sandbox world.
They will also showcase the different components of the game's multiplayer, which supports 16-player competitive and four-player co-operative modes.
