
Rocksteady Studios took home the top prize of 'Best Game' as well as the award for 'Gameplay' for its acclaimed action-adventure title Batman: Arkham Asylum.
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves received four of the nine awards it was nominated for, including 'Action', 'Use Of Audio', 'Original Score' and 'Story'.
Modern Warfare 2 won the public-voted 'GAME Award', while FIFA 10 picked up gongs for 'Best Of Online' and 'Sports'.
Other winners included Left 4 Dead 2 for 'Multiplayer', Empire: Total War for 'Strategy', Flower for 'Artistic Achievement', Wii Sports Resort for 'Family & Social' and Shrunk! in the 'Ones To Watch' category.
The night was topped off with a BAFTA 'Fellowship' being awarded to Nintendo designer Shigeru Miyamoto, who received a standing ovation.
