The game, which was a surprise release for iPhone and iPod Touch last November, offers a scaled-down version of the zombie survival mode from the console first-person shooter.
According to AppAdvice, the mobile title will be released for the iPad on April 3, which is the same day that the device becomes available in the US.
The game will be priced at $14.99 (£9.80), which is considerably more than the $9.99 (£6.50) it costs on the iPhone.
The iPad version will feature two maps: Night of the Undead and Zombie Asylum. However, it is likely that Activision will support the title with additional maps in the future.
Other available features include worldwide multiplayer over WiFi and local multiplayer for up to four people, along with achievements and leaderboards.
