The iPad launched in the US on Saturday, with speculation mounting that it will arrive in the UK on April 24.
Around 700 games have already been confirmed for the device, including Activision's Call Of Duty: World At War: Zombies and Capcom's Resident Evil 4.
Speaking to Kotaku, Fils-Aime said that Nintendo is unconcerned by the new player on the handheld market because the iPad is not a serious gaming platform.
"[Apple] is not having an impact on Nintendo when you look at our business, our volume, our hardware, our software," he said.
"I've seen data that suggests that while consumers are constantly downloading apps, they play with them for a few times and then they are moving on to the next thing."
Fils-Aime believes that gamers will remain loyal to Nintendo's DS handheld because it offers a superior gaming experience.
"If our games represent a range between snacks of entertainment and full meals depending on the type of game, [Apple's] aren't even a mouthful, in terms of the gaming experience you get," he added.
