The retailer has pledged to refund or replace any games that were not sold in "mint condition".
Customers reported receiving damaged goods from GAME's online arm, as well as the websites of its subsidiaries Gamestation and Gameplay over Easter. The accidental sales took place after the firm rushed ex-display stock into its warehouse to meet the additional demand.
"We value our reputation as a trusted retailer and can assure all of our customers that we will respond swiftly and positively to any issues that may be raised with us," read a company statement.
"We have conducted rigorous quality checks of our sale stock holding to ensure that all items we ship are of the quality our customers expect and can assure them that they can continue to purchase from our online Easter sales with confidence."
Any customers who received one of the goods in question can contact GAME via the help section on its website, call its customer service line or take the product to their nearest store.
