Speaking to PSM3, Yamauchi addressed the differences between GT5 and GT5: Prologue. He added that the new game will be "totally different".
"Though the look and feel of Prologue and the full version will have uniformity, the full version will be totally different in terms of scale and diversity in comparison," he explained.
GT5: Prologue, which was released on the PS3 in 2007/2008, was described by Yamauchi as "only a prologue".
The new title in the series has suffered a number of delays since it was announced in 2006, but is expected to be released later this year.
