The platform holder has been in talks with former News Corp president Peter Chernin to create an exclusive channel that would be streamed over the online service, according to Bloomberg.
Raising the Xbox Live Gold subscription by $1 to $2 per month would pay for the service, which currently stands at $7.99 / £4.99 per month.
Aimed at the console's predominant audience of young males, the channel would offer reruns and original programming.
It is also believed that Conan O'Brien's representatives were approached with the idea of giving the late-night host his own show before he signed with TBS.
Microsoft has yet to comment on the story.
