Developed by MercurySteam and Kojima Productions, the franchise reboot will be available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Taking place in Southern Europe during the Middle Ages, the game follows Gabriel Belmont and the Brotherhood of Light on a quest to protect the innocent from supernatural creatures. It will not serve as part of the original series canon.
Belmont is voiced by Robert Carlyle, backed by a supporting cast featuring Sir Patrick Stewart, Jason Isaacs and Natascha McElhone.
A specific release date for Castlevania: Lord Of Shadows is yet to be announced.
