The comic book giant will release artwork and information for the DLC on Monday, and the content will appear on PSN every other week.
Four different packs will be available, allowing users to purchase outfits for their Sackboy avatars based on Marvel heroes and villains.
Hero costumes include Spider-Man, Hulk, Thor, Punisher and Captain America. Villain outfits such as Green Goblin, Mystique and Magneto are also available.
Additionally, a Marvel Level Kit including "four levels of adventure pitting your Sackpeople against the evil plans of Magneto" will be released alongside the costume packs. Marvel-themed music, objects, materials, stickers and backgrounds will also be included.
