Telltales Games has announced a pilot scheme for new adventure games.
Similar to television pilots, it will test the waters for new properties by releasing singular episodes.
The scheme has launched with the release of Puzzle Agent, which was created by Telltale co-founder Graham Annable based on his work on the indie comic series Grickle.
"Puzzle Agent combines accessible Professor Layton-inspired puzzling, generous doses of Nordic folklore and enigmatic gnomes, with dark David Lynch and Coen brothers-inspired sensibilities," read a press release.
The title can be purchased on PC for $9.99 (£6.65) and will be available on Mac, WiiWare, iPhone and iPad soon.
