Originally scheduled for November, the open-world driving title will be pushed into 2011, according to Eurogamer.
Speaking at an investors' meeting, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said that the move is due to "the competitive market at Christmas".
The publisher also announced estimated sales in the first quarter of 2010-11 of €160 million (£130m), a 93% increase on the previous year.
Ubisoft will release H.A.W.X 2, RUSE, Michael Jackson: The Experience and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood by Christmas.
