Gfk ChartTrack has announced that it surpassed the launches of both the PS2 and PS3 slim, and even recorded similar sales to the original 360 launch within a number of days.
The UK chart firm noted that the sales were "even more impressive" since the 360 originally came in Pro and Core versions at launch.
The redesigned system, which offers built-in WiFi and a 250GB hard drive, was released last Friday.
