Ninja Theory has detailed the downloadable content for Enslaved: Odyssey To The West.

Chief designer and co-founder Tameem Antoniades said that the firm has designated a small team to work on DLC, which will be single-player in nature.

"We've not announced it yet, but now that the main game is pretty much done, we've started another team to start on the DLC," he told DS.

"It will be story-based, mission-based, but it will be a side story, so it's optional, you won't need it for the main game at all."

Antoniades also said that Enslaved is mostly finished and will soon go gold, and that the studio is thinking of its next game.

"I think it will be another story-based game, big adventure type thing, that's all I can really say," he revealed.

He added that it will also be slated for multiple systems, saying: "Well that's our goal. We want all our games to be multiplatform from now on."

Enslaved: Odyssey To The West will be released from Xbox 360 and PS3 on October 8.
