Tiesto joins 'DJ Hero 2'

Activision has revealed that Tiesto is to feature in this autumn's DJ Hero 2.

According to the studio, the electronic musician has contributed two tracks to the game and will be available to select as a playable character.

Tiesto has worked as a producer with Muse, Justin Timberlake, Jónsi from Sigur Rós, Flo Rida, Sean Kingston and Three 6 Mafia. He has also performed as a solo artist at the opening ceremony of the Athens Olympics and headlined the Coachella and Bonnaroo music festivals.

"DJ Hero 2 is all about bringing people of different backgrounds, ages and music tastes together to have some fun DJing their favourite music," said Tiesto. "The way the music comes together is fresh and unique and as a DJ, I couldn't ask for more than that.

"I am excited to be involved with this medium and to be contributing to a great game with an amazing soundtrack."

DJ Hero 2 is slated for release in North America on October 27. It will be available in Europe on October 29.
