Founder John Carmack said that he will be showing the project during his keynote at 8.30pm this evening.
Yesterday he told Twitter followers: "I'm showing something neat and unannounced at QuakeCon tomorrow. Deciding if I should leave it be or sneak a little more code in."
The project is rumoured to be Doom 4, after the firm told VG247 last year that a QuakeCon 2010 reveal can be expected.
Details of the game were also discussed earlier this year.
