Speaking at gamescom, SCEE president and CEO Andrew House revealed that the PS3-exclusive will arrive in stores in November.
Developed by Polyphony Digital, the game features an online mode supporting up to 16 players and makes use of 3D hardware. It will be the first officially numbered entry in the series to appear on the PS3.
The World Rally Championship, NASCAR and Super GT licences will appear in-game for the first time in the franchise's history.
Gran Turismo 5 arrives in the US on November 2 and in Europe on November 3.
