Neverwinter
Atari Europe has announced Neverwinter for PC.

The online role-playing title will be based in the Dungeons & Dragons universe, where factions battle for rule over the titular city after the demise of the last Lord of Neverwinter.

Developed by Star Trek Online developer Cryptic Studios, previous Neverwinter games have been helmed by BioWare and Obsidian Entertainment.

“We're beyond thrilled to develop a brand new version of Neverwinter," said Cryptic Studios COO Jack Emmert.

"It's been years since the original became a gaming icon and we’re honoured to work with such a great franchise. We've been working closely with Wizards of the Coast and R.A. Salvatore to create an authentic D&D adventure filled with compelling fiction and exciting gameplay."

The title will be released in late 2011 alongside an R.A. Salvatore-authored book trilogy and a tabletop roleplaying game.
