Microsoft will open Tokyo Game Show this year.

The firm's keynote, hosted by Home & Entertainment division chief Takashi Sensui and corporate vice president Phil Spencer, will be titled 'Xbox 360's Vision and 2010's Strategy', according to Andriasang.

The keynote will open Japan's premier gaming show on September 16. The conference concludes on September 19.

The opening keynote is renowned for new unveilings and announcements, including Nintendo's first reveal of the Wii controller and Microsoft trailering Halo 3: ODST.

Sony president Kazuo Hirai chaired the opening keynote last year.
