According to the gaming giant, the exec will leave the company on October 1. The reason for her exit is yet to be disclosed.
"We appreciate Cammie's contributions to Nintendo and the role she played in bringing the Wii and Nintendo DS experiences to millions of people," said NoA president Reggie Fils-Aime.
"Her team and the rest of Nintendo of America remain focused on our goal of maintaining the incredible momentum Nintendo enjoys heading into the busy holiday season."
Dunaway added: "I'm thankful for my time with Nintendo and proud of our team's accomplishments in growing the Nintendo audience. I look forward to watching the continued growth of the Nintendo brand in the years ahead."
Joining Nintendo in 2007 after a stint as CMO for Yahoo!, Dunaway replaced Fils-Aime as head of marketing following his promotion to his current position. She has appeared alongside him at several E3 press conferences.
Dunaway was previously named among Advertising Age Magazine's 100 top marketers.
