According to a promo video hosted on GameTrailers, the new content will be released on October 12 to coincide with Halloween.
'The Writer' is the second add-on for the Xbox 360-exclusive, following 'The Signal', which arrived in July. Remedy previously indicated that 'The Writer' will be the final expansion for the game.
Issued via Xbox Live, the pack will cost 560 Microsoft Points.
