The shooter RPG is now available for both platforms with new packaging at the budget price of $30 (£19), Joystiq reports.
A 'Game of the Year' edition containing all four DLC packs and a fold-out map of the in-game environment was previously confirmed for October 12. It will be priced at $60 (£38) on home consoles and $50 (£31) on PC.
The final DLC add-on 'ClapTrap's New Robot Revolution' will be released as a stand-alone download on September 28. A free patch to increase the game's level cap to 69 will also be issued next month.
Published by 2K Games, Borderlands was released for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 in October 2009. The game received a favourable reception in the press and sold two million copies by December that year.
