'The Sacrifice', which acts as a prequel to Left 4 Dead 2's previous DLC 'The Passing', is told from the Left 4 Dead survivors' perspective as they journey south.
The DLC will be available as two separate packages. For Left 4 Dead, the content will provide the 'Sacrifice' campaign with maps playable in Campaign, Versus and Survival modes, plus five new achievements and a new style finale.
For Left 4 Dead 2, gamers will receive the 'Sacrifice' campaign and the original game's 'No Mercy'. Each campaign is available in Campaign, Versus, Survival and Scavenge modes and features the sequel's Special Infected, items and weapons, as well as five new achievements.
The packs will be available to download on Xbox Live for 560 Microsoft Points each and free for PC gamers.
