Krome Studios will close next week, according to a report.

Both Melbourne and Brisbane branches of the developer will have their entire workforce laid off on Monday, according to Australian development website Tsumea.

The company has been shedding staff since early this year, with 50 terminations in April and the closure of its Adelaide branch in August, resulting in job losses of 100 people.

Krome Studios recently released Blade Kitten on Xbox Live Arcade and PSN and currently maintains Microsoft's Game Room service.

Microsoft has yet to comment on the report and the future status of the retro service.
