Rocksteady Studios told GamesTM (via ArkhamCity.co.uk) that it will be focusing on the titular character's abilities in the open-world sequel.
"There aren't any playable vehicles in the game... what we've really focused on is Batman himself. We see him as the ultimate vehicle," said game director Sefton Hill.
He added that Robin was "interesting and exciting", but did not confirm whether the sidekick will appear in the game.
Batman: Arkham City will be available in late 2011 on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
