Kinect ships 8 million units worldwide

The figure was announced by CEO Steve Ballmer at the firm's keynote conference at CES in Las Vegas.
It was later confirmed by Bloomberg that Microsoft had broken its target of five million devices sold by 2010.
Over 2.5 million units had been sold by the end of November.
