The successor to the DS will be released in Europe on March 25 and two days later on March 27 in the US.
The US version will cost $249.99, but no official confirmation was given regarding the price in the UK.
The 3DS will be available in Cosmos Black or Aqua Blue and will feature a built-in camera game called Face Raiders, as well as a Mii Maker application.
It was also revealed that a new friend code system would be implemented, eliminating the need for a different friend code for each game.
Nintendo's Shibata-San announced that more than 30 games would be made available for the 3DS between its March 25 launch and July's E3 event, including Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition, Pilot Wings and Resident Evil Revelations.
