According to Kotaku, the feature will enable users to upload their saved data to a remote server, making it accessible from multiple consoles and saving hard drive space.
The report adds that the service will only be available to PlayStation Plus subscribers. Elsewhere, developers will be given the choice to prohibit players from storing data from their games online should they deem it a violation of copy protection.
'Cloud saving' will allegedly be included in the 3.60 firmware update.
