The title will feature a unique camera positioned behind the player, making full use of the device's stereoscopic 3D and to help observe teammate positions more effectively.
"Using the 3D capabilities of the Nintendo 3DS, the camera views also allow the user to visually ascertain how far away a teammate is, allowing for more instinctive long passes and dynamic movement," read a press release.
The game will feature the UEFA Champions League licence, Master League mode, 60 national sides and 170 club sides.
Also confirmed is local wireless play and StreetPass functionality that will battle Master League sides when the device is in sleep mode, unlocking bonuses such as classic players and teams.
Other confirmed 3DS launch titles include Asphalt 3D, Rayman 3D, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars and Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell 3D from Ubisoft.
