Published by Konami and developed by Saber Interactive, the downloadable title will be available on Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and PC service Steam.
"Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. jumped at the opportunity to team up with Columbia Pictures and publish the Battle: Los Angeles video game," said vice president of acquisitions Careen Yapp.
"We love the movie and it was a great experience working with Saber - there were some great ideas about how to expand the story into a game."
He added: "It's a great chance for gamers and moviegoers to play out the world of the film."
The adaptation will see players fight off invading alien forces as Corporal Lee Imlay through a single-player campaign.
The game will be available around the movie's release later this month.
