The Finnish developer has posted a job listing at Gamasutra saying that the game will feature strong narrative and action scenes, suggesting a new Alan Wake title.
"Are you passionate about creating memorable gaming experiences through a well-balanced mix of compelling narrative and intense action?" read the position notice for senior level designer.
"As Senior Level Designer, your responsibilities will be to collaborate with the design and writing teams to make sure the game matches the storyline and vision as a whole."
Released in early 2010, Alan Wake was followed by two downloadable episodes later that year. A "second season" of the game entered the planning stages after the original game completed development.
Remedy recently explained why the franchise was exclusive to Xbox 360, stating that it removed the "technological risk" of developing for multiple formats.
The studio released a remake of Death Rally for iPhone and iPad last week.
