The Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 video game has been unveiled by Electronic Arts.

Developed by Bright Light Studios, it will be released alongside the film in July on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, Nintendo DS and PC.

Confirmed playable characters include Harry, Hermione, Ron, Ginny, Seamus, Neville and Professor Flitwick as they battle to save Hogwarts from destruction.

Voldemort will also feature as an unlockable playable character in multiplayer by collecting specific in-game tokens.

"Break into the high security vaults of Gringotts Bank, escape Fiendfyre in the Room of Requirement and battle Voldemort's most powerful allies as you defend Hogwarts in this action-packed experience," read a press release.

The PlayStation 3 version has been confirmed to include PlayStation Move functionality, while the Nintendo DS release will offer multiplayer for up to four people.
