The announcement of tilt control in Star Fox 64 3D comes from Nintendo's financial briefing yesterday.
This is the second Nintendo 3DS remake to add new control with the system's gyroscope, the first being Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D which will feature similar control for aiming Link's bow and slingshot.
The gyroscope has been a controversial feature on the 3DS, as tilting the system distorts the 3D image. This has been most prominent in games like Super Monkey Ball 3D that rely on tilt control.
At the same financial briefing, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata revealed that Excitebike would be a free download when the 3DS eShop launches and a 3D video service is being planned for a future system update.
