Tekken's series director Katsuhiro Harada said that the crossover game has yet to enter development, despite continued progress by Capcom's Street Fighter X Tekken, according to CVG.
"We really haven't started on Tekken X Street Fighter," he said. "Things are going well with Street Fighter X Tekken and we'll have more on that at E3. We hope you look forward to that."
Last summer, Capcom and Namco Bandai revealed that it was each working on a crossover fighting game using the Street Fighter and Tekken licences.
Recently, screenshots and gameplay footage for Capcom's Street Fighter X Tekken were released, however, no details on Tekken X Street Fighter have been made since its initial announcement.
"This is history we're making," said Street Fighter producer Yoshinori Oni at the project's reveal. "Two fighting games that have rivalled each other are finally standing on the same stage.
"This isn't just a showdown between Tekken and Street Fighter, but a decisive battle for Capcom and Namco Bandai Games. So I'm going to give it my all."
Meanwhile, Namco Bandai has announced 3D-enabled CGI movie Tekken: Blood Vengeance, which will debut in cinemas this summer.
