Franchise team leader Jon Murphy announced that the game will be revealed by producer Shingo 'Seabass' Takatsuka in a few days' time.
"PES 2012 announcement expected in a few days," he wrote on Twitter. "Seabass will be talking about some key improvements."
Last week, Murphy said that he had spent time with the game, stating that the AI was vastly improved with regards to attacking play, defending and decisions.
While competing football franchise FIFA has yet to formally announce details of its next instalment, a list of changes and in-game screenshot of Kaka have already been made available.
PES 2012 is expected to be available on consoles, handhelds and PC later this year.
