Originally intended for release later this year, the first-person shooter will now be available by March 2012, according to Eurogamer.
Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot told investors that the delay was due to a busy holiday release schedule.
Last year, the firm said that the game would deliver a "new and fresh approach to the shooter genre", and told DS that its multiplayer would "surprise" people.
Ubisoft released Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars as a Nintendo 3DS launch title earlier this year.
