Tackles will now be governed by a physics system, which can see players launched into the air from a high-impact collision.
Players can also collapse when under pressure during ball shielding, or simply from colliding into others.
Realistic injures can also occur. The video showed a tackle on Chelsea's Fernando Torres causing him to fall awkwardly on his leg, as well as self-incurred injuries from standard play.
Elsewhere, tactical defensive options have also been expanded, including contained defending, where players stay within a certain distance of the attacker.
Precision dribbling will be introduced, giving players an increased turning radius during slow runs and marked play.
The first details of the console editions for FIFA 12 were revealed earlier this year. The first screenshot, featuring Real Madrid's Kaka, was released last month.
