According to French site P-Nintendo, series producer Eiji Aonuma appeared on Japanese TV and revealed that a new Zelda game would be presented at E3 to celebrate the series' 25th anniversary.
Earlier this year at GDC, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata hinted that Nintendo was "working on [a] plan that will allow all Zelda lovers to celebrate together" to mark the anniversary.
It is unknown if this is an entirely new Zelda title, a compilation of past games or the remake of A Link to the Past previously hinted at by Miyamoto.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D will be available from June 17 in Europe and June 19 in North America.
Nintendo will provide a live stream of its E3 press conference on June 7 at 9 AM PDT (5 PM GMT).
