Hideo Kojima revealed the news during Konami's pre-E3 press conference earlier today.
The HD Collection includes Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker recreated in HD for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
The games have been completely recreated for HD, with new art assets, fonts, audio and a user interface designed for high resolution displays. The HD Collection will also include support for trophies and achievements on the PS3 and Xbox 360 respectively.
Kojima also revealed a new feature called "transfarring" that will be exclusive to the PS3 version. Transfarring allows for game progress to be moved between the PS3 and PSP versions of a game, and will be used in Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker of the HD Collection.
Players can begin playing Peace Walker on a PS3, use transfarring to continue the same game's progress on the go with their PSP, then import the data back to the PS3.
The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will release in November 2011 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
