Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary will be released for the Xbox 360 later this year, it has been confirmed at E3.

The game, which is a HD remake of the original Halo, will be released on November 15 for the Xbox 360.

Halo: CE Anniversary Edition will feature all-new visuals, a remastered single-player campaign and seven multiplayer maps, as well as online co-op over Xbox Live.

The game had been rumoured for some time, after a leaked memo suggested that 343 Industries was working on a remake of the title to commemorate its ten-year anniversary.

It was announced during Microsoft's E3 press conference in Los Angeles, alongside in-game footage of the remastered campaign.
