Producer Phil Frazier told Digital Spy that Kinect functionality would not be force-fed into the Madden series and would have to "make sense" as a gameplay mechanic.
"What we don't want to do is force-feed that control mechanic into a Madden game," he said. "Madden has been successful for nearly 25 years because of our core experience being what it is.
"It's authentic, it's very fast, it's very competitive, and so what I don't want to do is take the concept of throwing a pass and requiring you to move your arm in a certain way in order to complete it, because it's not as fast, not as precise."
He added: "What we're doing is trying to find a mechanic and build an experience that makes sense."
During Microsoft's E3 press conference earlier this week, EA Sports president Peter Moore revealed that Madden, FIFA and Tiger Woods would feature Kinect support from next year.
Moore suggested that Kinect users would be able to call audibles at the line during future Madden instalments.
Madden NFL 12 will be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and Wii from August 30 in North America and September 2 in Europe.
