Announced in 2008, Dragon Quest X will be the first Dragon Quest game on a Nintendo home console since 1995's Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Reverie for the SNES.
Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies was released on Nintendo DS last summer in Europe.
The Dragon Quest series has sold over 43 million copies to date worldwide.
