'Halo 4' to give Master Chief a new look

Halo 4 will see Master Chief undergo several changes, according to developer 343 Industries.

As well as amendments to his appearance, such as new armour, Master Chief will have incurred some psychological changes.

"There's some story behind his new look," studio lead Frank O'Connor told Official Xbox Magazine.

"There are specific reasons why he looks the way he does and why some of his behaviours have changed. We'll see in good time."

Halo 3's ending saw Master Chief's ship drift towards a mysterious planet, with O'Connor saying that "a lot of things have changed" for the character during that period.

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary will feature the first Halo 4 story details when it is released this November.

Announced at E3 2011, Halo 4 will be the start of a new trilogy on Xbox 360 and will be available in late 2012.
