Ignition has closed its development studios in London and has laid off 15 staff from its Austin studio in order to focus on publishing games, according to Edge.
It may also shut down its studio based in Japan, which has just finished work on Xbox 360 and PS3 title El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron.
WarDevil, which was being developed by Ignition's London studio, was originally cancelled in October last year, but was revived and renamed Project Kane.
The ambitious action game was due to be released later this year, having spent more than five years in development.
The status of FPS shooter Reich, which was being developed by Ignition's Austin studio, is currently unknown, although a team of PC developers were unaffected by the cuts, it has been revealed.
